Tally

Three overlapping stat cards showing billed revenue, invoices ready to send, and time saved, each with a small trend indicator.

Turning complex logistics invoicing into a clear, AI-guided workflow.

Every day, logistics teams spend hours chasing down information across emails, documents and internal team knowledge before an invoice is ready to send.

We partnered with Tally to shape the product design and core workflows around the different needs of operations and finance teams. The result is an intuitive interface for a messy reality, architected to keep invoices and revenue moving.

Dashboard showing invoices amounts and tables in a laptop, on a minimalist and white desk
Order tracking timeline showing a $12,500 order moving from confirmed to delivered, with an invoice blocked step and a paid on time status.

Rejected invoices are a costly operational reality. Even a minor discrepancy can trigger a rejection, delaying payment and creating another round of manual review.

Our challenge was to simplify a complex process, catching discrepancies early without hiding the details users rely on. We rapidly explored multiple interaction models to find where AI could add the most value, from dashboards and inboxes to kanban boards, task cards and tables.

User testing revealed two clear needs: users needed proof behind AI recommendations to trust it, and they wanted clear guidance on what to do next.

We reorganized the experience around tasks, exceptions and outcomes. Highlighted next steps, prioritized action items and a visual order timeline helped users immediately understand why an order was blocked, how to resolve it and how close it was to being invoiced.

The end result is a platform that turns fragmented operational context into guided decisions. Helping teams spend less time hunting for information and more time resolving issues with speed and confidence.
