We're hiring a senior-level Digital Designer with a strong eye for art direction and a love for motion, for a full-time role in Stockholm or Reykjavík.

Are you a visual storyteller who can elevate a brand through strong art direction and dynamic motion? Someone who cares as much about high-level creative vision as the grid behind it, thinking about motion and interactivity before the first developer touches the project? Nice to meet you!

As a Digital Designer at 14islands, you will combine strong visual storytelling with technical design precision. You'll shape the look, feel, and motion of brand identities, immersive websites, digital products, and marketing collateral—collaborating with senior designers and creative developers from concept to launch.

You'll set and evolve art direction on projects, explore visual concepts, and define how brands come to life across every digital touchpoint. You'll bring ideas to the table early, prototype them quickly, and refine them into detailed, cohesive design work that developers can build with confidence.

You'll keep pushing yourself to learn, experiment with new tools, including AI, and share what you find with the team.

• Craft digital brand identities and help evolve existing ones into distinctive digital experiences
• Develop visual concepts, moodboards and art direction for websites, products and campaigns
• Design engaging, detail-oriented interfaces in Figma, from concept to production-ready
• Extend brands into design systems, marketing collateral, social assets and presentations

• Define how brands and interfaces move: transitions, micro-interactions, scroll-driven storytelling and loading states
• Prototype motion concepts in After Effects, Rive, Figma or similar tools and hand them over with clear specs
• Collaborate with creative developers to refine animation and interaction in the browser and native apps
• Produce motion assets and motion guidelines as part of brand, marketing, and product deliverables

• Present and explain your design decisions to the team and clients
• Work closely with UX designers, developers and project leads throughout the process
• Refine designs within scope, timeline and budget
• Use AI tools to speed up exploration, iteration and production

• 3+ years of experience designing digital experiences, agency experience is a plus.
• A portfolio that shows strong art direction and visual craft across brand, web and product work
• Motion design skills with examples in your portfolio, for example web animation, micro-interactions or brand motion
• Advanced Figma skills
• Experience with AI design tools, or a strong curiosity and openness to bring them into your process
• A good understanding of UX and interaction design
• Precision and consistency in detailed design work
• Experience collaborating with developers and an understanding of what's possible in the browser
• Clear communication in English, both written and spoken
• Bonus: 3D modelling, creative coding, or experience designing for AI-powered products
